Refusals and errors
If your visa application is refused you will receive a Refusal Notice, explaining the reasons why. Please send a scanned copy of the Refusal Notice to email@example.com. We will assess the refusal of your visa application and advise you further.
Please note, a CAS can only be used once; if your visa application is refused you cannot use the same one to make a new visa application.
If it is felt that the entry clearance officer has made an error when assessing your application you may wish to submit an administrative review and we will provide as much support as we can during this process.
What is an Administrative Review?
There is no right of appeal if you apply for a Student route visa outside the UK and your application is refused, but you can ask for an administrative review of the decision if you think an error has been made. We would strongly encourage you to apply for an administrative review if this is the case as it is important to have any incorrect visa refusals removed from your immigration record. You must apply for this within 28 days of receiving your refusal notice and can find more infomation on GOV.UK.
Can I make a new entry visa application?
You cannot submit a new visa application while an earlier application is under administrative review. If you do make a new visa application your administrative review will be automatically withdrawn.
When you collect your BRP in the UK it is important that the following information is correct:
- Your name
- Your sex
- That you are a Student route visa holder
- The Sponsor Licence Number (P2HPX4F0X)
- Start and end dates of your course
- Work conditions
- The condition to register with the police
We will have requested that you bring your BRP into the University for us to verify it and keep a copy. If there are any errors please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You also need to report any errors to the UKVI within 10 days.
