Paying your tuition fee

The remaining balance, after you have paid your deposit, is divided into two equal payments: you should pay 50% of the balance before or on arrival (when you register) and the final 50% within three months of arrival.

To make a payment to Liverpool Hope you should use the Liverpool Hope Bank Transfer . By using this service, you can pay in your local currency from your home bank account so you don't need to worry about exchange rates or bank charges.

My Hope and Moodle

My Hope is the student portal to student services and information and you will use it on a daily basis. We will take you through this at your orientation.

Each subject has its own Moodle, which provides all the information you need about your course assessments, resource links and messages. Moodle is the Virtual Learning Environment, where you will find course specific information and will be able to upload coursework for assessment.

The Sheppard-Worlock Library

The Sheppard-Worlock Library and the Library Moodle offer a wide range of resources to help you settle into your academic studies. We recommend you engage with the Library as soon as you come to Hope and meet your Subject Librarian who is there to help you with your studies. Library services are also available at the Creative Campus.

Please ask about Library Induction for your subject and course level after you arrive.

Academic help and support

The University has many academic help and support services to support you with your studies while you are studying at Liverpool Hope.

You will find a range of academic workshops and guidance in the Library Moodle.

The Library Academic Writing mentors are there to help you with your academic writing style or research methods.

For specific information about academic support take a look at our Academic Skills Service pages.

The Global Student and Partnership Centre and the School of Humanities offer short courses in English for Academic Purposes at certain times of the year – please contact globalcentre@hope.ac.uk for further information. There are many learning spaces around campus where you can use the computers, printers or recharging points for your devices.

Academic misconduct

Academic misconduct is taken very seriously at the University. Instances of academic misconduct are typically identified when there is improper referencing of the work of other authors or collaboration with peers leading to shared or identical wording in assessments.

It is very important to avoid committing academic misconduct as it has severe consequences and you could fail your degree. Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with the stringent referencing guidelines in the UK and to prioritise the creation of original work. The use of online essay writers is strictly prohibited.

How to apply for DBS clearance (Disclosure and Barring Service)

You can apply to the DBS by making an online application. As an international student, you cannot apply for this until you are in the UK and have proof of your UK address.

Shuttle bus service

The University offers a shuttle bus service between the three campuses – this is free as long as you can show your ID card to the driver.

Buses leave each campus location about once an hour from Monday to Friday in term time.

A timetable is available online or from the Gateway Service Desk.

Please note that the Shuttle Bus only stops at the campus drop-off points and does not stop to pick up or let passengers off en-route.

Catering outlets and life on campus

We have a number of restaurants, coffee shops and social spaces at Hope Park and the Creative Campus serving a range of food and drinks. Opening times vary from venue to venue. Find out more about what's on offer here
